No one loves technology as much as someone who uses new advances to improve the lives of others. With each new generation of hearing devices, the staff at Valley Hearing Center get to witness people hearing better, with less hassle, and with a higher-level of customization.
But it’s not just the natural hearing or near-invisibility of the devices we love: it’s also the durability. Hearing devices today can withstand sweat, extreme temperatures, and bacteria.
Of course, that doesn’t mean your new Alta2 can take a dive in the ocean with you. You’ll have to hear the fish another day. While your device may be quite hardy, it’s important to remember that it requires care and maintenance to keep it in top condition.
Take advantage of our ongoing care. Stop by for a complimentary device cleaning or adjustment. This is the best way to ensure you are getting the most out of your hearing aids.
Remove your hearing aids before swimming or showering. While many devices are water-resistant, they are not waterproof.
Perform hair drying, makeup application, or facial shaving before inserting your hearing aids. Just to be on the safe side, do not expose your hearing devices to any potential household hazards.
Gently wipe your device with a soft, clean cloth. Clean the wax filter as needed. Do not use household cleaning products.
Keep your batteries fresh. Turn off your hearing aids when not in use to preserve battery life. Batteries typically last up to a week, so keep extras handy. We recommend putting a small battery container on your keychain.
Contact us if you have any questions or problems. Always remember that we are available to help you keep your hearing aids in excellent condition. Do not hesitate to give us a call. ¡Se habla español!
